My friends, I have something to tell you. Really, I guess what I should say is, I have something I want to warn you about. The reflections you are going to start reading from this point on (you know, the ones here in Volume II of my writings) are only going to “heat up” from where they left off in Volume I.

Why am I telling you this? Well, I noticed something after reading all of what I wrote from February 19, 2015 to January 7, 2018 (which is where Volume II begins and ends). Yeah, I noticed (quite profoundly) that as the time went on and I grew more and more interiorly, my soul (at least, the parts of it that I was able to describe and write about, in the moment, with my pen in my journal) seemed to “speed up” and “simplify” (quite naturally) as time went on.

I’ll leave the whys and the hows and the whats of all of this “growth of the soul” to what our good and gracious Lord has taught us over the years, not only in Sacred Scripture, but in the lives and writings of the great saints who have come before us. My point in sharing this with you is simply to prepare you—mentally and spiritually—for what is to come in these pages. I guess what I’m saying is, in many ways, the fire that was just starting to burn in the depths of my soul in the years captured in Volume I of my writings really began to take off here in more of “a roaring flame” of sorts in the years that came and went in Volume II. But I’m sure you’ll notice that for yourself as you read through these pages. So, just brace yourself as you continue. And remember what I told you, it’s only going to heat up from here! (There, I said it! Now, you can’t say I didn’t warn you!)
