Book Release | The Clutter: Sorting Through Life in Light of Christ’s Love by Kara Danaher
Kara’s love for reading and writing goes back as early as her elementary school days. By the grace of God, she collected multiple journals, poems, and short stories over the years which grew and blossomed into her story The Clutter: Sorting Through Life in Light of Christ’s Love. This realistic fiction story combined with Kara’s poems and personal journal entries is the result of a deep longing to share the joy of a life centered on Christ and what a great adventure even the most ordinary of days can be when He is in the lead!

Youth Tap Class | St. Thérèse's “Little Tappers” with Julia Monnin
Inspired by some of her young nieces who took an interest in tap dancing right before her very eyes, Julia Monnin dusted off her childhood tap shoes (she danced from ages 4–14) and started a “Little Tappers” group for young girls in the Fall of 2025. During these most joyful monthly sessions, the girls learn a little about St. Thérèse, journal, pray together, and of course tap. It’s such a delight!
Classes meet once a month, are open to girls ages 4–14, and are geared towards beginner level tappers. Both the Friday AM and the Thursday PM sessions are located in the Hall at St. Lawrence Church in Rhine, OH. There is no cost to attend, but Free Will donations to JRM are gratefully accepted.

Study For Priests and Seminarians | “The Ascent of Mount Carmel” by St. John of the Cross
During this study, we will look at John’s doctrine regarding extraordinary supernatural experiences in the spiritual life (such as visions, locutions, etc). Chapters 16 and 17 of Book 2 of The Ascent will be our main points of discussion. (Chapter 17 being quoted as “a key chapter that can serve as a guide in the interpretation of John’s whole work.”)

“The eyes of the soul, then, should be ever withdrawn from distinct, visible, and intelligible apprehensions. Such elements are pertinent to sense and provide no security or foundation for faith. Its eyes should be fixed on the invisible, on what belongs not to sense but to spirit, and on what, as it is not contained in a sensible figure brings the soul to union with God in faith, the proper means, as was said.”
– Ascent, Book 2, Chapter 16, 12.
