The World Is Noisy – God Whispers: The Second Daily Devotional is a collection of 366 thoughts, ideas, and inspirations jotted down by author Julia Monnin in 2019, the founding year of Journeys Revealed Ministries. In addition to giving the reader a glimpse into Julia’s soul as the Lord was at work founding this Catholic nonprofit apostolate through her, the simple ideas, observations, and words of encouragement are meant to help the reader grow in their own life of prayer. Like Julia’s first Devotional (released initially in 2019, which includes thoughts from her written between 2012–2018), this work can be a powerful resource to help the reader (no matter their age) to prayerfully “tune in” to the inspirations calling out to the depths of their own souls in “the still small voice” of God. Some interior struggles Julia was having at this time in her life include:
- Overcoming crushing doubt related to apostolic endeavors;
- Learning how to slow down and be patient as God’s providence unfolds;
- Growing in ever-deepening love of and faithfulness to Christ in the midst of the struggle, doubt, confusion, fear, and impatience that came along the way.
